  • Cost: 0 (2 stars)
  • Effect: Deal 12 damage. Apply 1 Weak. Apply 1 Vulnerable.

Rating

A strong attack playable at 0 energy by spending 2 stars. Its biggest draw is applying Weak and Vulnerable simultaneously, which makes it extremely useful in debuff-focused decks. Since it costs no energy, the tempo gain of attacking and debuffing in the same motion is huge.

The caveat is that it costs 2 stars, so in decks with weak star generation it's hard to play. Star management in the early game matters, and its true value comes out when paired with heavy star producers like Genesis or Hidden Fortune. Upgraded, it hits for 12 — very high damage for a 0-cost card.

How to Use

  • Since it costs 2 stars, the baseline play pattern is to fire star generators (Glimmer, Solar Strike, etc.) first, then drop Falling Star
  • Because it applies both Weak and Vulnerable, it shines on turns where you want to stack debuffs on a tough enemy
  • Great with Black Hole (AoE damage whenever you spend stars) — 1 Falling Star effectively becomes about 10 damage
  • With Star Child (Block whenever you spend stars), just playing it nets 2 free Block

Synergies / Deck Types

  • Genesis: 2–3 stars at the start of each turn, covering Falling Star's cost
  • Glimmer: 1–2 stars plus draw — a premier star source
  • Black Hole: AoE on every star spend, turning each Falling Star into a ~10 damage swing
  • Star Child: Block on every star spend. Each Falling Star grants 4 Block
  • Hidden Fortune: 3–4 stars next turn, making it easy to plan consecutive Falling Stars
